Peter, Paul, & Mary's rendition of Stewball will always remind me of Irving. At so many Toth Family gatherings in my childhood, we'd all sit around and sing while my dad played the guitar. Stewball is the song that I remember Irving singing to the loudest and with no hesitation!
The first time I remember hearing Peter, Paul, & Mary was in Aunt Emily's van on the way home from Blue Knob. Since that time, I've always liked their music - a great representation of the type of folk-style harmonies and campfire music that my dad plays.
Something as simple as a song and a memory has great power to bind us all together, whether from East Coast to West Cost or from this life to eternity.
