Obituary for Shiel Gayler
Shiel Gayler, son of Dorothy & David Ginsberg, OBM, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the age of 93. He is survived by his wife Patricia, former wife, Roslyn Gayler, his sons Mickey, Stuart, & Allan, his daughter Sheri, grandchildren Vicki, Sean, Alex, Dory & Katie, & great-grandchildren Ryan, Tristan, Meila, Huntley, Sophie & Rowan.
Shiel was born & raised in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from high school in Tucson, Arizona. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He later settled in Phoenix and was the founder of Action Scaffolding and remained active in community theater for many years. He relocated permanently to San Diego in 1976. Shiel was a die hard season ticket holder for the Chargers for many decades and a founding member of Chabad Poway since 1986.
