Obituary for Robert P. Gyori PhD
Dr. Robert P.Gyori Ob”m passed away peacefully at home, following a long battle with illness. He is survived by his wife, Maria Gyori, along with his daughter Mariann Porubszky, Son- in -Law Joshua Kiser, and grandchildren Logan and Liam Kiser. He survived by his Sister Marika Gazsi Furjes ,Brother- in- Law- Peter Krazanai , Cousins Yisrael Herczeg, and Jozsef Stekler.
Born in Miskolc Hungary, Bobby immigrated to the USA December 1st, 1956 he was a strong man, who not only survived the Holocaust, but also fought in the Israeli and Hungarian Armies. He came to the United States without knowing any English, where he thought himself how to speak, write, and read proficiently.
Bobby had attended Electrotechincal Industrial School in Hungary, and went on to receive his Master of Science in Cinema and Doctor of Philosophy with a major in Electrical Engineering.
Professionally, Bobby found his calling as a successful Holiday Executive, working as the Chief Engineer, Research Engineer at MGM, and then moved on to become the Director of Engineering for 20th Century Fox. Bobby had four patented inventions in the movie industry and earned his Life Fellow Membership in the motion picture industry. Even after retirement, Bobby’s love for the industry lead him to start his own business Certus International where he spent many countless hours consulting, and helped establish Origo Studios in Hungary, while also finding time to do some acting in the Hungarian Movie Get No, along with writing articles for various Political figures, and magazines.
Bobby was a very passionate, courage’s , and caring, he tirelessly served his community, he was one of the original founders of the Chabad of Temecula, and the founder of the William Fox Hungarian Film Club. Bobby would also frequently speak at Holocaust Memorials, and Hungarian Revolution Memorials.
An enthusiastic lover of boating, flying, cigars, and gourmet foods and Politics . Bobby loved to entrain his family and friends on his Yacht, or at home with his Gourmet cooking, fine wines and cigars. Bobby was very passionate, and adored his family and friends, and wanted nothing but the best for them
Bobby will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
