Obituary for Risa Betti Field

Risa Betti Field
March 1, 1969- April 23, 2019

Risa was a beautiful woman who grew up in Dix Hills, New York and La Jolla, California. She passed away a month after turning 50 at home in La Jolla, California from Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Risa was courageous, kind and generous.

Risa received her MBA from National University and her Bachelors Degree in Journalism from University of Southern California. She worked in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco in the marketing industry. Her positions included Marketing Director and Senior Manager at City Search, My Points, The Gap, National University and Hay House. She also consulted for TEDX San Diego.

She was devoted to our parents, Jean Field and the late Richard Field. Risa is survived by her sisters, Phylis Field and Barbara Field, and her nephew, Adam Pearson. She loved gardening, cooking, taking road trips, attending live music events and spending time with her beloved family and friends. She was a volunteer for The Lung Cancer Alliance.

Her friends and family loved her so very dearly. We will carry her in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

The graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 28th at 1pm at El Camino Memorial Cemetery in Sorrento Valley, California. A reception will follow afterwards in La Jolla. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network. A special page for Risa is being put together now for those who want to donate in Risa's memory.
