Obituary for Phyllis K Bendett (Kare)
Phyllis Bendett, wife of Alfred Bendett, mother of Brad Bendett, Ardene Bendett, and Maura Bendett, babie of Ava Bendett, Aaron Bendett, and Isaac Bendett, passed away peacefully on Shabbat, the 14th of August, 2021.
Her funeral will be tomorrow, Tuesday, August 17th, at 10am at El Camino Memorial. A meal of condolence will follow in the backyard of Brad Bendett. Please contact Temple Beth Israel for

She was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she took advantage of winter sports and developed what became a lifelong passion for athletics. She was a champion speed skater in high school which led to an athletic college scholarship.
She remained an avid sports fan throughout her adult life. She coached middle school girls soccer and led them to multiple championships. She also thrived during her 10 years with the San Diego Soccers in her public relations role.
Phyllis and Al have been central in the lives of Brad's three children and were blessed to have a significant role in their upbringing. Her beloved children and grandchildren will carry her memory forever.
