Obituary for Judith Martin (Bell)

Judith Martin of Southfield and West Bloomfield passed away peacefully on August 30, 2022, 5 days short of her 93rd birthday.
Born on September 4, 1929 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Judy moved to Detroit in 1945 and became a naturalized citizen soon after.
A lifelong learner, Judy graduated from Wayne State University with her bachelors and masters degrees in education. She then taught science and math to 5th and 6th grade students in Southfield for 30 years.

Judy was the cherished wife of Andrew Martin for 42 years until his death in 2019. She was the beloved mother of Beth Robins, Mitchell (Amy) Robins and Howard Robins; dear mother-in-law to Pam Robins, step mother to Judi (Mike) Krupkin, James Martin, and Peggi Martin (Lee Schmelter). Judy will be greatly missed by grandchildren Alexander (Melanie) Robins, Emily (Seth) Brody, Ashley Robins, Hayley Robins and Sean Robins, who predeceased Judy in 2006; beloved grandchildren Scott Krupkin, Jeffrey Schmelter and Daniel Schmelter.
Judy was the proud great grandmother of Madeleine Sean Robins, Oliver Beau Brody and Lily Belle Brody.
Judy is also survived by her beloved caregiver, Brian Miller and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Judy will be interned in San Diego, CA on September 4th surrounded by loved ones there.
