Carolyn, I am so sorry to hear about Max. He was truly a wonderful soul, and will be missed dearly. I know wherever he is, him and my dad Charlie are more than likely together and catching up.

Love you Caroline. Nothing I can say will ease his passing. I just know it helps to reach out to friends and family. I would like to think he and Charlie are together and having a great conversation. Bless you. I'm here if you need to talk. Love always, Jenny.

Dear Max
In German they have the concept of Bildungsjahre: those years when you become yourself. Few meant more to my Bildungsjahre than you. If I at my best am an intellectual it is largely due to you. You also put your mark on Norway. Thank you. Love from Johan
