Fredric S. Coopersmith, born in New York, New York in 1934, died at his home in Del Mar, California on July 5, 2019. Husband to Cemille Ninyo Coopersmith, father to Lisa Kranseler (Kenny), Jeff Coopersmith (Stefanie), and Steve Coopersmith (Tanya), grandfather to five grandchildren: Julie Grossman Kranseler (Seth), Andrew and Daniel Kranseler, Matthew and Joshua Coopersmtih. A proud alumnus of New York University, Mr. Coopersmith had a career as a financial and insurance professional, and retired to Del Mar to pursue his long love for tennis and the San Diego area. Full of life, always a great storyteller, lover of dancing and Broadway shows, and with a great tennis topspin, he will be greatly missed. Mr. Coopersmith succumbed to pancreatic cancer after a year-long battle. Funeral will be at El Camino Memorial Park on Sunday,July 7, 2019, at 11am.
