Alan passed away at the age of 83, at home sometime during the night or early morning of April 2, 2021. Alan was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Sheila, who passed away just one month earlier on February 24, 2021. He cared for her while she progressed with Alzheimer disease. They met at the age of 19, married at 23 and spent a total of 64 years together. They had four children - Lisa ((ז"ל, Louis, Rene' and Danielle; one daughter-in-law, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Alan studied Mechanical Engineering and later on in life he specialized in Instrumentation & Control. He enjoyed his profession and was an expert in his field.
Growing up Alan was a member of Kingsburg United Synagogue in London and was a cub scout leader. In 1980, after moving to Washington State with his family, he formed the North Shore Jewish Community and held Shabbat Services and Seder Night services for the congregation. In the mid 80's Alan moved with his family to Israel, where he and his wife spent 11 years before moving back to the US.

Alan beat lung cancer in 1998 and had open heart surgery in 2016. In late 2020 Alan was yet again diagnosed with lung related cancer. Alan will be missed dearly by his family.
He will live in our hearts forever.
