Condolence From: Alison Casciano
Condolence: To you, Arnold, and your family, I was deeply saddened to learn of Charlotte's passing--I will miss her friendly smile and laugh, miss seeing the two of you swimming your laps at the pool in such a dedicated fashion. She was certainly a beautiful lady inside and out...always offering me encouraging words when I went back to school for nursing, always greeting me with warmth and caring. Thank you for so lovingly and respectfully retelling Charlotte's story--her many gifts, interests and talents were obvious. She will be greatly missed. Please know that Charlotte, as well as you and your family, have been in my thoughts and prayers for many months. I offer my most sincere condolences to you all. --Respectfully and lovingly, Alison

Condolence: Dear Arnold, Cheryl, Elliot and Family, We send you our deepest condolences on Charlotte's passing (which we just learned about). We were very moved, Cheryl and Elliot, by your beautiful eulogies about your mother. You brought back, for us, some of the highlights of her life, and of the years we all spent in West Lafayette, at Sons of Abraham Synagogue and Sisterhood (at holidays, meetings, and yuntives), at Hadassah functions, and at the neighborhood and Purdue University events. Charlotte was always a leader who took charge, but with a soft voice. She was the first among our cohort to master the computer. Charlotte and I were "pals." For exercise, we walked and talked. And whenever I took ill, she would call to cheer me up. We remember Charlotte with love and appreciation. Linda and Mike Lipschutz

Condolence From: Debra Dear
Condolence: Charlotte was a very special and Strong Woman. She inspired so many others just by being herself and having such a wide variety of interests. She had Both a creative and a scientific mind. In her later years, Charlotte's creativity really took over and inspired her to rediscover her love for painting. It was this activity that kept her very busy during her retirement years. She really enjoyed painting and continued her passion until she no longer was physically able. Thru painting, she was able to express her vision of natural beauty. Charlotte was very fortunate to have an activity that she loved and found so meaningful in her later years. Charlotte was also a woman that loved her family. She always tried to stay in touch with her family and extended family and made them a priority. Her devotion and admiration for Arnold was always felt by me when I saw them together. Charlottes kind and energetic spirit will always remembered by Me.

Condolence: I was so saddened to learn of the loss of Charlotte this week. I first met her in the late 1990s, in West Lafayette, and then many times later, including in New York, Baltimore, and San Diego. I still recall fondly a delightful Thanksgiving dinner at the Tubis home (1999 perhaps?) and seeing her charming paintings on holiday cards at the end of each year. She was always very kind and welcoming to Arnold's students at Purdue, and us former students in all the years since. Arnold, Cheryl, and Eliot, you and your families have my sincere condolences.
