Life Story for Irving Weiner

Irving Weiner, a long-time resident of San Diego, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 surrounded by family members. The second of four sons, he was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, before moving to San Diego in 1969. After graduating from the University of Southern California in 1942 on a swimming scholarship, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the South Pacific during WWII. Following the war, he owned a building supply business in New Jersey with his younger brother. In 1950 he married Lillian, and recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his wife Lillian, son Michael (wife Shari), daughters Robin and Amy, and granddaughters Alana and Samantha.
