Condolence From: Jon M. Samuels
Condolence: I knew Ryan only through his mother's words but that was enough to allow me to admire him from afar. His life brought to mind the poem describing Calimachus commenting on the death of Heraclitus (William Cory): They told me, Heraclitus, they told me you were dead. They brought the bitter news, and bitter tears to shed. I wept when I remembered how often you and I Had tired the sun with talking and sent it down the sky. Still I hear thy pleasant voice, like nightingales, awake. While death, he taketh most away, your voice he cannot take.

Condolence From: Christopher Staaf
Condolence: This world is a lesser place without Ryan. You are and always will be my brother. I admire you for your willing friendship, your unmatched courage, your eerie sense of humor, and everything else that made you the unique man you are. I only wish more people could have been touched by your wonderful presence. I love you very much.
